Dr. Carlton “Lewis” Lewis Riley, a devoted husband, loving father, and respected community member, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2024, at 56. Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Dr. Riley lived a life marked by faith, family, and service.

A proud veteran of the United States Army, Dr. Riley served his country honorably. He was a man of deep Christian faith and lived according to God’s principles. His kind and compassionate nature endeared him to all who knew him, especially those who worked under his guidance.

Dr. Riley was a prolific writer, authoring over 12 Christian and 4 STEM books. His passion for knowledge and desire to inspire others led him to share his wisdom through his writings.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Korin Riley, and their four accomplished children: Sarita Riley, Kayla Riley, Ashley Riley-Sibley, and Carlton Riley Jr. He was the second youngest of 12 siblings.

A memorial service celebrating Dr. Riley’s life will soon be scheduled at Celebration Church. Instead of flowers, the family requests donations to the Eastside’s For Hope, which will maintain a community garden to provide free food and beauty to an impoverished area. Other preferred charities are City Rescue Mission and Eartha White Mission.
